LVMH Prize 2015- Young Fashion Designers
Launched in November 2013, the LVMH Prize was created to reveal and support young fashion designers. Each year, the LVMH Prize recognizes a young designer and three graduates from fashion schools.
The Young Fashion Designers' competition is open to designers from every country who have produced at least two collections and who are under 40. To help them develop their creative work, LVMH gives the winners:

This support covers all the areas of expertise that are critical to a young fashion brand (intellectual property, sourcing, production and distribution, image and advertising, marketing, etc.).
The “Graduates” prize is open to students of fashion schools who are completing a degree course at a fashion school in 2015. The three winners receive a 10,000 euro grant and an opportunity to work as part of the design team at an LVMH brand for one year.

PANTONE 2015 COLOUR OF THE YEAR
In 2013 we rocked Emerald . . .
In 2014 we dazzled in Radiant Orchid . . .
Now, we seduce with Marsala . . .
Here's officially introducing the Pantone 2015 colour of the year, Marsala Pantone 18-1438. For 15 years, the Pantone Color Institute has been showing us the future colour trends and how colours affect our thought processes.
The red-brown Marsala is one colour that started trending during the Spring 2015 runway. No doubt, we will see more of this warm colour in the areas of graphics, fashion, beauty and interiors. No one will be left out when it comes to this shade that can be a used to design billboards, cakes and cars; men's trousers, suit and tie, women's evening dresses, shoes and bags; hair colour, eye shadow and lipstick; and home appliances, curtains, throw pillows and walls.

A naturally robust and earthy wine red, Marsala enriches our minds, bodies and souls.

STOP! REWIND!
Let me start by saying Happy New Year!!!
Whatever you dream . . .
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.
You forgot to set your alarm or slept through it or perhaps you just aren't a
morning person . . . clearly…things aren't going as planned. Now, you are late and everything is going fast. You have one leg in and another leg
out the door. You are multitasking between what you need to take to the office
or wherever, and the things you have
to do . . . before you know it, you are out the door but just hold up…STOP! REWIND!
In the words of my Italian teacher, “boys and girls,
stop!” So why do you need to stop and
rewind you wonder? Look in the mirror dear. It may seem so unimportant but it
does matter. You may not be bothered but it does matter. You cannot make a first
impression twice so get it right the first time.
So this leads me to ask you, what vibes are you giving off, especially early in the morning?
“It takes just a quick glance, maybe three seconds, for someone to evaluate you when you meet for the first time. In this short time, the other person forms an opinion about you based on your appearance, your body language, your demeanor, your mannerisms, and how you are dressed.”
--- MindTools
So this leads me to ask you, what vibes are you giving off, especially early in the morning?
Ladies don’t focus on your hair and makeup alone; guys don’t
focus on your shirt and shoes alone . . .or whatever you all focus on. Style is
about the total package. So when you rewind, you can decide on what you are
going to wear the day before or have in mind plan A, B and even C so that when
you get up in the morning, the last thing on your mind is “what to wear or
perhaps what not to wear?” Also, don’t focus on one fashion accessory alone. From
head to toe, there should be a perfect blend; a oneness of style; fashion - cohesion! When people look at you they
should see you first before they notice the different fashion accessories that
make up your total package.
When it comes to an overall look, ask yourself this
question, where are my going? And you can have a follow up question of, who could I possibly run into?
