As a tribute to Charles James, a British-born fashion designer known as "America's First Couturier", the 2014 Costume Institute Gala was themed Charles James: Beyond Fashion, with White Ties & Decorations as the dress code. The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York since 1971.

I love Rihanna's look! The met gala is a fashion costume ball where the designers dress the celebrities and the celebrities don't have much a say. I am not sure how the designers are paired with the celebrities. Worse dressed Katie Holmes. I didn't like the color yellow on her. Lupita also not a good look. Of course I love Rihanna's look, Rita ora and Victoria Beckham. I also believe last year looks were much better.
